Ryu Ishigori is a reincarnated sorcerer from 400 years in the past, brought into the modern era by Kenjaku to participate in the Culling Game, specifically within the Sendai Colony. In life, he was already known as an anomaly among jujutsu users for possessing one of the highest cursed energy outputs in history. Rather than being driven by ideology or duty, Ishigori is characterized by a 'hunger' for fulfillment in battle, treating combat like a form of fine cuisine and constantly seeking an opponent capable of satisfying his appetite for a true fight.

In combat, Ryu functions as a high-output artillery-type sorcerer whose cursed energy discharge is often described as a cannon-like beam of raw destructive force. His signature ability is a concentrated release of cursed energy that he can fire with extreme power. He is also a capable close-quarters fighter, able to trade blows with top-tier opponents like Yuta Okkotsu while maintaining durability against repeated high-level attacks.
